March 2024 Meeting Highlights

• We are ready for rodeo season to be here as 2024 memberships continue to roll in.

• Time to be searching for sponsorships as we would love for all event sponsorships to be secured by June 1st so that awards can all be ordered and in on time for the 2024 finals.

• Jacket order update: The jackets have been all been received by the jacket company except for 7 larges. The company is working diligently on the ones that have arrived and will get them sent out within the next few weeks so that we can send them to those who have ordered. The other 7 which have not yet been received will be arriving early May and then will be completed and shipped to us ASAP.

• IPRA has received the co approval agreement and we are hopeful that we can work with the Rice Rodeo Company and the IPRA this year to co sanction some of their rodeos.

• There is talk and interest in having a spring membership drive rodeo. If anyone has any leads or would like to help with this please let us know.

• How to manage bids for the 2024 and future finals was discussed. Options will be drafted and presented to the board so that we can continue to manage finals bids in a professional manner.

• Callie is working on becoming proficient with the online entry system and asked if board members would go online and enter so that she can work with the data as it comes into the system.

• We did have a rodeo approved: Wessington Springs Foothills Rodeo which will be July 5th and 6th.
